Green Growth 2050 Chairman to moderate IIPT event at WTM

STOWE, Vermont, USA – Professor Geoffrey Lipman, Chairman of Green Growth 2050, will be the moderator at this year’s IIPT World Travel Market event, “Cultivating Sustainable and Peaceful Communities and Nations,” on Wednesday, November 5, from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon in the South Gallery, Rooms 21 and 22

Professor Lipman has been a keen supporter of “Peace through Tourism” and IIPT since the early 1990s as the first President of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) where he launched Green Growth because of his passion for “Peace with Nature.” Geoffrey has also been a pioneer in the reduction of poverty with his key role in the ST-EP initiative, Sustainable Tourism to Eliminate Poverty.

Panelists in the event being organized by the International Institute for Peace through Tourism (IIPT) include: Dr. Taleb Rifai, Secretary General, U.N. World Tourism Organization (UNWTO); Martin Craigs, CEO, Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA); Amb. Yamina Karitanyi, Head of Tourism and Conservation, Rwanda; and Hiran Cooray, Director, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and Chairman, Jetwing Hotels Ltd; and Mrs. Wahida Jaiet, Managing Director of the Tunisian National Tourist Office (TNTO).
