Minor Hotel Group to implement Global Performance Measurement initiative

Posted on January 13, 2016 in Current News - 0 comments -

Minor Hotel Group is currently implementing Green Growth 2050’s advance Performance Measurement suite in preparation for going live during February 2016.  The implementation involves 75 hotels across 6 major brands across 18 countries.

This will enable Minor Hotels to measure its sustainability performance across a range of key performance metrics. Once collected, they can then use inbuilt business intelligence and analytics to view the performance of the overall organisation. Information can be analysed by individual business, region, brand or across the entire tourism enterprise.

Over 200 individually defined metrics will be available across the following information streams:

  • Operational Performance
  • Social & Community Development
  • Legal Compliance
  • Labour Practices
  • Health & Safety
  • Energy, Water, Waste & Greenhouse Gas Emissions
  • Environmental Stewardship
  • Human Rights
  • Bribery & Corruption
  • Economic Sustainability
  • Customer Participation
  • Communication, Education & Reporting

Minor Hotels will also have the ability to define their own KPI’s based on the regional or operational characteristics of their business.

These metricsGEO Map Sample are closely aligned to the Global Reporting Initiative’s G4 Sustainability Reporting Framework and will enable Minor to measure and manage performance across the entire enterprise with full segmentation by brand, region, country etc. The Green Growth 2050 solution will provide both individual hotel management teams and head office executives with unrivalled granularity in managing their sustainability initiatives.

Minor understands that today’s global organisations are looking beyond the legacy Certification systems of yesterday to solutions that support main-stream industry programs including the UN Global Compact, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, ISO 14001, Global Reporting Initiative and other enterprise based sustainability drivers.

Shareholders, investors and other stakeholders demand today’s global leaders provide accurate and verifiable information beyond even triple bottom line detail.
