Minor Hotels, a leading global hotel owner and operator, has achieved a new milestone in its vision for sustainable hospitality, with 20 of its properties earning the prestigious Green Growth 2050 Platinum Certification.

The achievement underscores Minor’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility across its global operations, which span 56 countries.

Anantara Chiang Mai Resort in Thailand became the 20th property operated by Minor to achieve the Platinum certification, scoring 90% or more across a rigorous assessment of environmental, social, and cultural measures set by the Green Growth 2050 Global Standard.

Kurumba Maldives proudly announces its attainment of Gold Certification from Green Growth 2050, marking a significant advancement from its previous Silver Certification. This achievement underscores the resort’s unwavering dedication to environmental sustainability and responsible tourism.

The Green Growth 2050 Global Standard, endorsed by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, integrates internationally recognized environmental and hotel industry sustainability standards. Featuring over 400 industry-based sustainability indicators, it stands as the most comprehensive travel and tourism-based standard available.

Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas has become the first Maldivian resort to receive a Green Growth 2050 Platinum Certification.

The accreditation is the highest level of acknowledgment given by Green Growth 2050 to only those members who achieve over 90% compliance to the requirements under the internationally recognized environmental standards for travel and tourism and consistently push excellent efforts in the areas of sustainability and CSR.

Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has announced an exciting upcoming addition to its Middle East portfolio. The luxury brand already operates nine hotels and resorts in the region, including six Green Growth 2050 Certified hotels in the United Arab Emirates, with the newest addition to launch in Q4 of 2021.

Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort is in the final stages of development in the World Islands archipelago, located in the Arabian Gulf, approximately four kilometres off the coast of Dubai in the UAE. The new resort is the first hotel in the South American continent of the World Islands development. The island will be completely dedicated to the resort, with guests able to access by boat in just 15 minutes from the jetty at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort.

Farah Sarieddine was 24 when she was headhunted by Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort to join its marketing team. She had risen the ranks of PRCO, first as a PR junior executive, then PR executive and finally PR assistant manager, before joining Minor as marketing and communications manager.

Just a few months into her role of one of the Palm’s most popular resorts, she was awarded Best PR Campaign for 2018 by Minor Hotel Group, credited as helping to create campaigns that resulted in the highest occupancy and revenue levels not only within the property itself, but across the whole of the Palm.
