Hotelier’s 30 Under 30: Meet Farah Sarieddine, Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort
by Hotelier Staff May 5, 2021
Farah Sarieddine was 24 when she was headhunted by Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort to join its marketing team. She had risen the ranks of PRCO, first as a PR junior executive, then PR executive and finally PR assistant manager, before joining Minor as marketing and communications manager.
Just a few months into her role of one of the Palm’s most popular resorts, she was awarded Best PR Campaign for 2018 by Minor Hotel Group, credited as helping to create campaigns that resulted in the highest occupancy and revenue levels not only within the property itself, but across the whole of the Palm.
Less than three years later, she was elevated to director of marketing and communication at the hotel, making history as the company’s youngest director at just 26. From there she became responsible for heightening the visibility of the property, managing six social media accounts. In 2019, Minor awarded her Best Marketing Team Member, Best Social Media Strategy.
As director of the department, she leads the marketing strategy of the property, ensuring each new campaign keeps in mind the resort’s organisational goals, image and objective.
She continues to push the envelope to this day, exploring new methods and mediums to put her property on a pedestal. She says: “My heartfelt gratitude to all the fantastic team at Minor Group who supported me through my journey. I look forward to building upon what I have accomplished with the help of the management.
“Letting travellers see exactly how they can connect to this amazing destination with Anantara is my aim and I look forward to finding new ways to communicate daily.
According to her GM, James Hewitson, Sarieddine’s talent was spotted before she even joined the company. He said: “Farah first came to the attention of Anantara Resorts while working for a PR agency that we used for our pre-opening resorts in Oman and the success of these openings was down to Farah’s contribution. We recognised then that we were dealing with a young talent with plenty of drive and a savvy approach to PR, marketing and communications.
“It made sense to bring Farah onto our team as opposed to working through an agency and the results that have been generated have been exemplary. Print coverage, social media presence, press trips, digital presence along with consumer marketing and resort content have been developed during Farah’s time in the role for all of our key markets as well as new markets that have opened up due to the pandemic. All of this has been managed efficiently and effectively to support the continued growth of Anantara The Palm Resort.”
