Terry DeLacy is one of Australia’s leading Travel & Tourism researchers, specialising in environmental policy & sustainable tourism and most recently focusing on climate change and destinations in the emerging green economy.
He is an architect of GG2050 roadmaps and a pioneer in developing vulnerability/resilience frameworks for the tourism sector for climate change.
He has authored seven books and over 100 journal articles, Together with colleagues, including Professor Geoffrey Lipman, he has recently authored 2 books on Green Growth and Travelism.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Dr Peter Zimmer, Research Adviser
Peter has over 25 years of experience in tourism, as tour guide and manager working e.g. for Studiosus Reisen,ADAC and as FUTOUR tourism consultant.
1989 Co-founder of ECOTRANS and founder of FUTOUR Environment, Tourism and Regional development. More than 400 projects. Working for different ministries (economy, environment, traffic, agriculture) at EU, national and federal state levels; cities, regions, numerous enterprises, NGO`s and tourism organisations.
Member of advisory board, Modul University Vienna; lecturer at SMBS University Salzburg and Chairman of environmental committee, German tour operator organisation DRV. Paul Whitelaw is a Senior Lecturer in the College of Business at Victoria University where he also lectures in quantitative and computer based hospitality management systems. He specialises in econometric modelling, advanced statistical techniques and technology integration.
In 2011 Paul was the Acting Head of the School of International Business, prior to that a Senior Lecturer in the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Marketing and before that he was Foundation Executive Director of The Centre for Hospitality and Tourism Research, all at Victoria University. A Lausanne Hotel School graduate (EHL) with further education at Harvard University (AMP 159 – Advanced Management Program), Daniel specialises in assisting company boards and top level management, including CSO’s (Chief Sustainability Officers) meet their sustainability goals.
